What the work is like
A cargo mission centers on getting a shipment to its destination. A ferry assignment centers on understanding the aircraft and arranging its delivery. In either case, unfamiliar airports or changed plans can make preparation especially valuable.

Training and routes into the field
Build the certificates, aircraft experience, and operational knowledge required for the specific employer. Large cargo airlines and small operators do not all hire at the same experience level. Do not assume ferry work is an easy first job simply because there are no passengers.
